Ingenieurbüro Wiggenhauser with MOOG GmbH on the Stonecuttersbridge Hong Kong
In spring 2010 MOOG GmbH successfully handed over six mobile Bridge Inspection Units and one Transport Shuttle to the customer, the Hong Kong Highway Department.
The units with a platform length of up to 29m and a payload at a maximum of 10 tons have set new benchmarks in the field of mobile bridge inspection technology.
The structural calculations of drive systems and brakes were carried out by Ingenieurbüro Wiggenhauser on behalf of MOOG GmbH.
Other than the standard loads on the structure, typhoon load cases with wind speeds of more than 200 km/h had to be taken into account.
